8 days of high quality Curling action will commence in Stirling for the World Wheelchair Curling Championships. For the first time in the history of these World Championships 12 nations will compete for Gold. Those nations are Norway, Russia, Scotland, China, Canada, Korea, United States, Switzerland, Germany, Estonia, Slovakia and Latvia.
This line-up showcases a great blend of experience and fresh talent with 5 of the 12 nations having been former Gold Medallist’s and 2 nations competing in the Championships for the first time.
March’s tournament will be held at the PEAK Sport’s Village and has added significance as it is the first opportunity for nations to gain qualification points towards places at the next Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing, 2022.
