I aim to provide a welcoming, friendly, safe home environment where the children can learn through play. I have a secure garden where the children can enjoy various activities, i.e. sandpit, swingball, scooters, tent, etc. I make regular use of the local toddler groups, park, and soft play, Smith Art Gallery, Castle and Engine Shed.

I live in with my husband and our daughter. I am a Registered Childminder and qualified Nursery Nurse. I completed my HNC in Childcare and Education training in Inverness College1996-1998. After college, I worked as a nanny from 1998-2000, then in a children's soft play center 2000-2002, followed by another year as a nanny for a different family. From 2003 until our daughter was born (2009), I worked as an admin assistant. Becoming a mummy made me realise I was missing my childcare career, so I decided to "return to my roots" and take up childminding. I am fully registered with the Care Inspectorate (Fiona McIntyre Child Minding). My Inspection Reports are available on the Care Inspectorate website. We run a smoke-free and pet-free home. I have been minding since 2010. I feel it is important for children to have some kind of routine to our day, it helps them know what happens next. Our routine is loosely structured and worked around nursery/school drop offs/pickups. I tend to get out every morning and meet up with local childminders/minded children. This could be at a toddler group, a trip to a soft play centre, playing at the park, etc.

I offer a home from home environment where the children can be relaxed and respected throughout their day. I ensure they are happy, safe and included. I provide meals as part of my service and this is done with the children’s input and I encourage healthy choices. I provide a wide range of toys and activities and encourage the children to be creative with their play. I ensure that your child’s wellbeing is a priority and I ensure that all of their developmental needs are met. We attend local groups so the children can mix with others. I work very closely with parents so a continuity of care can be provided. All children are individual and my aim is to provide an environment where each child can develop and achieve their own potential.
