Riverside Primary will reopen as normal tomorrow (Wednesday 20 February) following today’s temporary closure.

A power fault was established early this morning and despite work to resolve the problem, Scottish Power was unable to restore power to the building and the decision was taken to close early.

The power failure was due to an external fault in the wider Riverside Area and had an impact on temperature in the school as well as toilets and fire and security alarms.

A temporary generator has now been installed to provide adequate power while investigations into the original fault continue.

Children should report to the school as normal on Wednesday morning and we apologise for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen problem.
