Covid-19: New jobs portal helps Stirling employers

A new Stirling jobs portal has been launched to help employers requiring additional staff during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Stirling Council has set up the free resource as part of ongoing efforts to support businesses and workers while the coronavirus pandemic continues.

The new portal is open to any employer looking to recruit in response to increasing and changing demand within their key sectors.

The listing can be accessed at here.

To list a job opportunity, employers should email jobs@stirling.gov.uk with full details including a short role description, any specific skills required and contact information.

Convener of Stirling Council’s Finance and Economy Committee, Councillor Margaret Brisley, said: “We are sure this will be welcomed by those who have lost jobs as a result of the disruption and are now looking for employment, even if that employment is short-term, as well as those businesses who require extra support.

“Please spread the word about this new job portal to any friends and family who may be looking for employment, or businesses who have been impacted by the Coronavirus outbreak and are now looking for staff.”

Vice Convener, Councillor Alison Laurie said: “Through partnership working and strong collaboration we are doing everything we can to support local businesses over the coming weeks.

“This new job portal will provide opportunities across a range of key sectors that will benefit not only those looking for jobs and the businesses themselves, but also the communities in which they work during this trying time.”
