Gartmore School was originally a single-room school, built around 1842. It was refurbished in 1994 and though the early stone exterior remains, the interior is completely modern with attractive learning areas.
There’s an extensive field to the rear which is used for play, sports activities and outdoor education. The village hall is used for drama lessons, PE, parties and school concerts.
