Greenspace Rangers
How our Greenspace Rangers team helps people enjoy the outdoors, and how you can take part in their events and volunteer activities.
What Greenspace Rangers do
Greenspace Rangers manage, maintain and promote greenspaces across the council area.
In line with NatureScot's Rangers in Scotland Policy, we work to:
- ensure a warm welcome
- provide support that helps people enjoy the outdoors
- increase awareness, understanding, care and responsible use of natural and cultural heritage
- support the sustainable management and use of the outdoors
Events and activities
We run a wide range of events and activities, including sessions that focus on:
- wildlife and access to the countryside
- outdoor education
- practical conservation
We also hold Action Days for volunteers.
To get updates about our opportunities, follow Stirling Council's social media accounts.
How to volunteer
Our team is always looking for volunteers who can help us carry out practical tasks in greenspaces across Stirling.
You do not need to have any prior experience to take part in our events. We'll always make sure that you:
- have any tools you need
- know how to carry out tasks safely
You can volunteer if you're 12 or older. However, if you're under 18, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult who's also a registered volunteer.
If you're interested in taking part in one of our Action Days, use this form to register.
