Using the Archives

Registration

When you arrive we'll ask you to complete a registration form that will include your contact details and areas of interest. By signing this form, you agree to abide by our simple common-sense search procedures. This also acts as a security measure to help us protect the records.

Accessing and handling records

You can access records by searching through our various catalogues and indexes, then completing a document request slip to access the document.

To protect our records from any potential damage, we ask you observe our handling guidelines.

Copying

We can provide copies of original records up to size A3, providing the document can withstand the process. This may not be possible if the document is fragile or in copyright.

Copies of items from bound volumes must be taken using a digital camera. Visitors can use their own phone or tablet camera for a fee.

Our staff can provide more information.
