Borrowing a tablet

Borrowing a tablet

Tablet lending

Stirling Council Libraries along with our partners, Connecting Scotland, now have an exciting, new project where you can borrow a Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet and MiFi completely free of charge.

What you need to know

To borrow a tablet and Mifi you must be a member of Stirling Council Libraries and be 16 years of age and over.

You can borrow a tablet for 3 weeks which will then be auto-renewed for up to 12 weeks. If you need a tablet for longer just ask at your local library.

You will be required to read and sign the Acceptable Use Agreement.

No internet access at home

No problem! Our partners, Connecting Scotland have provided MiFis which are completely free and provide unlimited data allowing you to get online whenever and wherever you like!

Not very good with technology

All of our tablets come with a handy step-by-step guide. Stirling Council Libraries also have I.T. & Me (add link to I.T. & ME) sessions in branches where digital help and support is available. Ask in your local branch for more information.

Will the tablet hold my data?

No the tablet wont hold your data.

When you return your tablet you will be given instructions on how to reset it to factory settings, this will remove all of your information.

As an extra precaution, when you return the tablet, staff will carry out a remote reset.
