Joining the library

Joining our libraries is free and available to anyone who lives, works or studies in Stirling. You can join at any library or online.

In the library

Fill out a membership form and produce two current forms of identification to verify your name, address and signature. Children under 16 years old need a parent or guardian to sign their form.

You can also join the library on our online catalogue. We'll post your library card to you as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, you'll be able to place a hold on materials in the catalogue and, when you get your card, you will have full borrowing privileges.

Replacement Cards

If you lose your card let library staff know immediately as you are responsible for items borrowed on your card.

A charge is made for a replacement card.

By choosing to register online you are acknowledging that you agree to abide by the rules and policies of the library service.
