The Young Scot National Entitlement Card is a free card for young people living in Scotland aged 11-25 years. The card offers many services detailed below.

Access in-person and online discounts with nearly 400 partners

Young people can use their cards to access in-person and online discounts with nearly 400 partners in over 1,000 in-store locations. The card also acts as the European Youth Card and connects young people to thousands of discounts across Europe.

Young Scot Young Carers Package

Young Scot Young Carers Package is a special bundle of treats available to 11 to 18 year olds who care unpaid, for a family member, friend, or member of their community, regularly and on a long-term basis. The package helps them to make the most of their free time.

Provides proof of age

Proof of age through the Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) endorsed by the British Retail Consortium across the UK 

Free bus travel

Free bus travel for young people aged between 5-22 yrs across Scotland.

Concessionary train travel scheme

Concessionary train travel scheme for young people aged between 16-18 yrs and young full-time volunteers offering up to up to 50% of rail fares.

To update your card or apply online for a card please the National Entitlement Card website.

Transport Scotland have launched an app

Transport Scotland have launched an app for 16-22s who have an existing Young Scot Card issued after 2016. This app will allow young people to add the travel element onto their card instantly and is available for download in the Appstore and Google Play.
