Partnership brings together local organisations
Our Partnership brings together local organisations — including the council, health services, police, universities, and charities — to help prevent gender-based violence and support those affected by it. We work together to put the Scottish Government’s Equally Safe strategy into action in Stirling.
The Partnership meets quarterly to share ideas, track progress, and make sure services are working together to create a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and heard.
Throughout the year, you will see campaigns, events, and opportunities to get involved — including during the annual 16 Days of Activism. Whether you want to learn more, volunteer, or just know where to find support, we are here for you.

Support services
The Meadows is the Sexual Assault Response Coordination Service (SARCS) for Forth Valley and is a dedicated NHS Service which can offer healthcare and support in the days after an assault.
- If you have recently been raped or sexually assaulted, it’s understandable if you don’t know what to do or where to turn. Further information about SARCS can be found at Turn to SARCS | NHS inform.
- If you have been raped or sexually assaulted within the last 7 days and do not want to tell the police, or are unsure about telling them now, you can self-refer to SARCS.
- This means you don’t need a GP or other healthcare professional to refer you - you can do this yourself by calling 0800 148 88 88 which is a dedicated NHS telephone number available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and speak to a specially trained healthcare professional who can help to arrange the care you might need.

Police Scotland – Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DSDAS)
If you are worried that someone you know may be at risk of domestic abuse, or if you are concerned about your own relationship, Police Scotland’s Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DSDAS) can help.
The scheme allows you to request information about a partner’s history of abusive behaviour to help you make informed choices about your safety.
You can make a request online or by visiting your local police station. Learn more at the Police Scotland website.
White Ribbon Steering group
We are part of a national campaign that encourages men to speak out against gender-based violence and be positive role models for change. The Stirling White Ribbon Steering Group brings together students, staff, and community partners to support awareness events, training, and activism throughout the year. Everyone is welcome and you don’t need to have experience, just a commitment to equality and respect.
