Minute of Meeting

Present: T Cattigan, I Dawson, L Masterson, W McEwan, J Reid, R McLachlan, S Kerr and

1. Declarations of Interest- None

2. Adoption of previous meeting(s) minutes- Minutes proposed by T Cattigan and
seconded by L Masterson

3. Matters Arising
a. CC applied for location for “Tow Truck”, it will be looked after by CC and insured.
CC give a big thank you to the Hughes family.
b. Over 14 months the Dangerous Fascia” at Quakerfield shops has had three visits
by SC officers and nothing done since February 2022. Then After a short phone
call FROM maintenance management at SC, work completed with 3 weeks.
c. CC are awaiting a reply from SC regarding the Steps into Ladywell park beside
Telford Bridge, part of the heritage trail, these are being inspected as an accident
on the steps has been reported.
d. After numerous requests, the Bannockburn road sign has been put back up.
e. Telford Bridge is still being monitored after 9/10 years. SC have informed the
money has been put aside for the repair.
f. The work in Stein Square has started to progress. This was first reported to SC
in 2019.
g. CC were asked to take over the insurance cost of the Telford Bridge Monument.
CC will await a price before agreeing to this.
h. SC confirmed there will be no passing bay for traffic at Newlands Rd. This road
was adopted by SC. There will also be no footpath. The ground will be made
into a garden with a fence along the side.
i. The CC have submitted a CC Enquiry to SC for assistance for the Heritage
footpath up to the steps at side of Masonic as there has been flooding.
j. BCC have assisted with various materials to assist with the truck planter. Also,
after discussion with CC Enquiries, insurance is now in place. This allowed the
painting of 4 box planters, the planting of various plants, 9 hanging baskets, 4
large box planters, and the train and horse trailer.
k. After a conversation with residents, the CC have submitted a cc enquiry as to
‘how many empty house are there in ward 7?’ CC are awaiting a reply but have
been told there are 3 empty in one street.
l. BCC confirm they will back the new trotting site in Whins of Milton on behalf of
the community. J Reid will complete the backing form electronically.
m. CC have requested that SC forward planning information on line to Planning
Officer.
n. CC have passed future meeting dates to CEO NHS to discuss the various
matters raised at the previous meetings regarding Bannockburn Health Centre.
o. LW to discuss with SC where the new school will go as it cannot go on the old
trotting stadium which was previously agreed as the site on the LDP.
p. CC to contact CC Enquiries about the lack of litter bins about.
q. Holes in footpaths near the school that were reported to EM. Photos were
submitted by EM to SC but there has been no update.
r. Connection points on CC Christmas lights/decorations will require to be changed
to fit the new lamp post wiring.
s. On the original LDP the new health centre for the 1000 houses being built in
Bannockburn was to be located in Plean. At a meeting with Persimmon, the CC
were informed Councillors have confirmed this is now being built in Cowie. Why
can’t this be built in Bannockburn, residents will now need to travel to Cowie to
attend.
t. Questions asked to EM at the previous meeting have still not be responded too.

5. Reports- Internal
a. Secretary: Copy of all updates received was forwarded and discussed with CC
members (as above in matters arising).
b. Treasurer: The treasurer highlighted all balances were ok and there was nothing
major to report.
c. Planning: No update.
