Braehead & Broomridge Community Council.

 Minutes of the Meeting of the Braehead & Broomridge Community Council held on 27th June 2022 in the Mayfield Centre, Stirling at 7.00pm

In attendance: Hugh McClung (Chair), Gary McGrow (Secretary), Philomena McClung, Mandy Rae, Barbara Anderson, Wendy McLean, Martin Shaw (Vice-Chair) Cllr Gerry McLaughlan, Veronica Korkut, Andrew Nelson (Superglass).

Chair opened the meeting and welcomed all in attendance.

1. Andrew Nelson requested that his agenda item be taken first as he had other matters to attend to and wished to give a verbal update on progress at Superglass. This was agreed and Andrew gave his report on progress of lessening sound problems at the Superglass factory.

2. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved by Gary McGrow and seconded by Philomena McClung.

3. Chair’s report. H.McClung gave verbal report on communication with Police Scotland re crime reports and lack of Police representation in the area.

4. Secretary’s report. Gary gave a report on the Co-option applications and the process to be carried out. Applications for Co-option to the Community Council had been tendered to Stirling Council by Veronica Korkut and James Tripney. Once approval has been given by Stirling Council on eligibility, the applications will be put before the Community Council at the August meeting.

5. Treasurers report. Balance: £3,268.87

6. Cllr McLauchlan reported on a review of waste services by Stirling Council, which will be for public consultation.

7. Police report circulated.

8. 20mph limits. Advised that current programme is in progress and planning consent should be completed by November 2022, with installation of the new speed limits by end of financial year.

9. Defibrillator/CPR Training will go ahead on Sunday 3rd July at the Crawford Hall.

There being no further business, the meeting was concluded and the next meeting 29th August.
