Martin welcomed all to the meeting and introductions were made.

No declarations of interest.
October Minutes were proposed by Mandy Rae and seconded by Lesley Ferguson.
- Office Bearer Reports
Chair – Thanked Police Scotland PC’s for making time to attend the meeting. Understand all the issues and grateful that the report can be reviewed and possibly changed. Actions: None
Secretary – No report.
Confirmed that the March and May meetings have been cancelled at the Mayfield Centre as the Chair has proposed these take place at the Crawford Hall.
Actions:
Martin will look into loop induction system to be used in Crawford Hall
Treasurer – current balance is: £3248.61
Still issues with bank. Need to review the situation again in January
Mandy suggested removing the current bank account and looking at setting up a new account. Needs to be a Treasurer Account – RBS have these available however to set this up someone needs to be a current RBS customer.
Actions:
Martin will look into setting up an RBS Treasurer account as he is a current RBS customer.
Planning – only item of interest is extension to Almond Court front of property. No objections.

Councillor Report
Nothing available.
Police
Attendance from Police Scotland officers. Discussed the issues surrounding community policing – difficulty with resources, posts are available and are looking for more officers.
Lots of road traffic incidents – recording is now different reflecting the increase in cases (e.g. speeding, no insurances).
Recent talk at Braehead Primary on internet safety.
Crime report for Braehead and Broomridge Area from 30 October – 27 November: 22 detected cases and 25 undetected cases.
Superglass
One complaint raised in October to Sepa re: odour – couldn’t find location of this.
Noise issue raised – turned out to be valve system issue and has been dealt with by Scottish Gas. Engineering work taking place this week and return to normal work from next week. Still to arrange meeting for community councillors to visit.

Defib Status/New Location
Still waiting to hear from Area Manager at the Co-op about what they wish from us.

Martin – maintain contact with Manager at Co-op.
Afton Court Park
The order for the equipment has been accepted and installation will be January. The current equipment will be made safe before the new one will be installed.

Meetings
Discussed whether there should be any amendments to the monthly meetings. Agreed current monthly meetings should continue – no changes.
Action: No action
Toy Library
Afton Court Toy Library extremely popular. The box is damaged, but the toys are intact. Some toys have been damaged but have been replaced. Consider getting a wooden box to stop children from transporting it elsewhere.
Wallace Park – toy box not set up here yet, concerned about box not withstanding current weather.

Mandy – go ahead and purchase box.
Local resident asked whether community service could build boxes?

Martin – will look into this.
AOCB
Resident raised concerns about the state of the area. Concerned about debris, machinery etc. Advised to raise issues via Stirling Council Portal along with images.
Mandy asked about the “Report It” section on the Stirling Council website – can the Community council get reports on issues that were reported on the site and confirm how they were resolved.

Martin – to contact Stephen Bly and ask whether this is possible.
Martin suggested looking at getting Stirling Council staff from various departments to come to a Community Council Meeting – proposed this be the March meeting with a possible start date at 6pm
