Martin Shaw; Chair opened the meeting, welcomed all and introductions were made.

- Minutes of previous meeting and matters arising
No declarations of interest.
Adoptions of previous meetings: January Minutes were re-proposed by Lesley Ferguson and seconded by Barbara Anderson. These were amended following an error in Point No. 3 changed from December to November 2024.
February Minutes – no Wi-Fi available in Mayfield Centre just the library. Minutes were proposed by Hugh McClung and seconded by Jamie Adcock.
- Office Bearer Reports
Chair
Co-op Defib – letter has been issued to their office, waiting on a response from them regarding their terms and conditions.
Police Scotland – Martin confirmed he has attempted to contact them on numerous occasions via email and in person. He has confirmed he will email them again and raise a complaint on this.
Portable Hearing Aid Loops – this has been looked into and the cost is £545. Request that we contact Stephen Bly to ask whether one can be borrowed.

Secretary
Received invitation to the 900 event. Correspondence issued to Stephen Bly regarding the broken glass that was previously reported. Mandy will contact the resident to ask whether the glass has been cleared up – possibly already dealt with

Treasurer
Jamie confirmed that he has been to the bank to resolve the situation and signed forms however there has no been change. He has lodged a formal complaint and will continue to put pressure on the bank.
Balance is currently £2356.32 – payments made to Crawford Hall for meetings, minute taker and insurance.
A question was raised about Heritage Boards and how many Heritage Trails there are. Mandy will liaise with Chris Kane regarding these.

Treasure to continue to pursue bank to get situation resolved.

Planning
For information – more houses at Bannockburn and construction of new junction road. Portakabin being set up near the railway on vacant ground - this is for railway works.

Councillor Report
Councillor McLaughlin – aware of anti social behaviour in the area and it’s being dealt with. Recent caravan fire in the area. Can confirm no cuts to adult learning, libraries or music tuition.
Police
Report received for 28 February 2025 – 24 March 2025: 32 detected cases and 25 undetected. During this time there has been 132 calls to the police.
Superglass

Defib Status/New Location
New defib – who will be purchasing it?

Afton Court Park
Work has started and the new chute is going up and should be completed before the Easter Holidays. Query from a resident regarding drainage of the park.

Flyers/Leaflet Drops
First 1000 flyers are ready and waiting to be sent out. Two post boxes are needed as well for replies. Looking to target specific areas in Wallace Park first, also leave flyers at Co-op, Broomridge Shop and Shop in Springfield Road along with Crawford Hall and the Book Shed.
Organise a date for leaflet drop.

Toy Library/Planters/small Differences
Some toys have unfortunately gone walkabout. These will be replaced, and the toy box needs to be completed asap.
Planters – Scottish Prison Service looking at materials with a view to building them.

Bannockburn Road Issue
Being dealt with by councillors.
Footpaths
Bushes have been cut; sweeper will be round, and moss will be treated by land services.

Anti-social behaviour
Aware of issues being raised on Facebook – Police Scotland to explain further.

Co-opting Launch
Looking to attract new members to the community council. Confirmation from Stephen Bly
regarding the process:
- At this Agenda Point, make public that the Co-Opting process is now live with 2 Co Opted Memberships on offer.
- At this Agenda Point, make public that the submission deadline (to the Community Council) is 23 April 2024. I usually give 3 weeks, but you have the time so take it! Please note, I do not require the originals…if an Office Bearer Countersigns and dates, they can take a pic and send to me as an attachment to an e mail as and when ready to do so. I will then send to the ERO for checks and advise accordingly.
- At this Agenda Point, make public that the process of Co Opting will be facilitated at the scheduled regular meeting on 30 April 2025.
