3.2.5 Roll numbers - there has been talk that this has been reviewed as with the
developments in the area it is believed it will reach the actual capacity and
additional accommodation may be required.
SF - there is money in the budget, consultants will be commissioned to come
up with proposals forwhat is required. Elected reps all attended a recent meeting
with the Parent Council but the CC were not invited and have not been kept
informed.
In May last year Zoe Tetstall, Bryony Monaghan and Aileen Moore attended our
meeting and assured us that we would be kept informed. The fact that we have
not is very disappointing.
3.2.6 The CC can't give thousands to resurfacing the MUGA if it is going to be ripped
up in the next couple of years. It is very urgent to decide what to do about this
as work was supposed to be starting imminently.

winter baskets, adding extra fresh baubles and ribbon.
3.4.3 The award has come in from Foundation Scotland, for the Cambusbarron

Appendix III School Report
Parking Issues
Irresponsible parking is an understandable frustration and is causing an avoidable risk
for our young people. It seems to be in 3 areas -
1. Drop off / picks up using the school car park.
2. Drop off / picks ups on Thomson place
3. Irresponsible parking in the local streets.
4.
We are not allowed to block off the street (I have asked) and this would not be practical
as we have staff, visiting professionals etc coming into school on / after 9am.
So we will continue to;
- Send out communications via email / newsletters
- Increase signage and education around this (new cones have been
purchased and will be put out each day)
- Provide a staff presence to deter when possible
- We are liaising with the Community Police officer to see if they can
support or advise (they attended today 18.02.25 and will attend periodically)
Could I ask for your help in contacting Stirling Council to have the road markings
repainted. We have asked the roads dept to repaint the road markings (6 months ago)
with little success. If the Community Council would like to raise this through their
channels then this would be very welcomed.
Dog Waste
We have noticed an increase in dog waste on school grounds and surrounding streets.
The janitor has now been provided with additional equipment to deal with this. Today
(08.02.25) 8 messes have been cleared up.
So what can we continue to do;
• - Refresh signage created by the children
APPROVED minutes 167 meeting of Cambusbarron CC 18 February 2025
• - Send out communications via email / newsletters
We have also been in communication with the Dog Warden who has increased patrols
around the school area.
Stirling Council Inspection
On 5th and 6th March we are welcoming an inspection team from Stirling Council to
our school. This team will comprise 3 Headteachers and an Education Officer. Their
role, will be to look at 2 areas of development;
• - Learning Teaching and assessment ( quality of teaching, learning and
engagement / effective use of assessment / planning , tracking and
monitoring)
• - Leadership of change (strategic planning for improvement / how we develop
our shared vision, values and aims)
•
During this time they will meet with myself and Danielle (my Depute Head) as we
share our School Improvement Plan and discuss our strengths and areas for
development.
The team will then review our documentation and data, visit all classes and meet
with children, parents / carers and partnership agencies. The visit will be robust but
we welcome it as an opportunity to review our progress, discuss next steps and
engage in professional dialogue.
A report will be shared with the school following the visit. I will share the key
messages from this with yourselves, the children and the staff team.
I would be delighted if a member of the Community Council would like to attend an
informal group session with one of our visitors on Wednesday 5th March at 11:45 -
12:15pm. At this session they will ask about how the school interacts with our
community partners. Please let me know if this would be of interest.
