MINUTE OF MEETING OF KINGS PARK COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY, 01 NOVEMBER 2021 AT 7.30PM

Present: Stewart Small (Chair), Jen McNiven (Secretary), Gordon Campbell (Treasurer), Vicky Mason, Gary Bell & Maurice Fitzgibbons.

Apologies: Bill Ruddell, Niall Hamilton-Smith, Lorraine Hendry.

In Attendance: Nil.

1. Welcome and Apologies

 

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting. Apologies were as noted above.

2. Minutes of the previous meeting held on 04 October 2021.

The Minutes were approved as an accurate record: Proposed Gary Bell

3. Police Report

 

No officer present at the meeting – brief written report circulated.

4. Matters Arising

 

Sustainable Transport

Noted that there have been some ideas submitted in relation to Engage Stirling.

Gary advising that members should keep an eye on Engage Stirling activity for any interesting proposals being made.

5. Secretary’s Report

 

Nothing further to report.

6. Councillor’s Report

 

No Councillor present at meeting and no report submitted.

7. Kings Park

 

a. Friends of Kings Park

 

Noted that all office bearers decided to stand again.

Gordon summarised the minutes of the last meeting of Friends of Kings Park by way of an update to members.

 

8. Planning

 

a. Victoria Place

 

Noted that applications are still being submitted for minor internal alterations and on the face of it, some retrospective approvals for work already carried out.

Noted that the application for planning permission for the new house has been refused.

9. KPCC Communications

 

Jen noting social media traffic has been quiet recently.

10. AOCB

 

a. Co-opting of new members

 

Noted that processes have been followed to co-opt Maurice Fitzgibbons and Lorraine Hendry.

b. Issues at park

 

Agreed that Stewart will arrange a multi-agency meeting, making sure to invite the owner of the pavilion with a view to tackling the anti-social behaviour within the park.

c. Golf Course

 

Members agreeing that the 9th hole is extremely dangerous.

Agreed that Maurice will raise this issue with the golf club with a view to having preventative measures put in place to avoid someone being seriously injured.

Gordon agreeing to raise the mater at the next meeting of friends of Kings Park.

11. Date of next meeting will be 06 December 2021.
