MINUTE OF MEETING OF KINGS PARK COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY, 7 NOVEMBER 2022 AT 7.30PM

CENTRAL LIBRARY

Present: Jen McNiven (Secretary), Gary Bell, Niall Hamilton-Smith, Jane Saunders, Willie Ferguson and Maurice Fitzgibbons.

1. Welcome and Apologies

 

The Secretary welcomed everyone to the meeting. Apologies were as noted above.

2. Minutes of the previous meeting held on 3 Oct 2022.

 

Minutes were not available at the time of the meeting and as such not approved at this time. Item to carry over to November meeting.

3. Police Report

 

Written report circulated to members prior to the meeting. Nothing to feedback to PC King,

4. Matters Arising

 

a. Sustainable Transport

Gary noted that works are continuing on Dumbarton Road.

William queried the use of blond monoblock from a planning/aesthetic perspective. Raised residents concerns over the current diversion, mainly that it could be seen as shortcut in the future, and that the 20mph is routinely ignored by drivers.

Also noted was agreement amongst members that leaf clearing, or lack of, is an issue on some of the new cycle routes/paths.

b. Community Council Healthcheck

Jane gave an update on the purpose of the Healthcheck. Its aim is to help develop CCs and improve engagement with residents and other CCs.

Paperwork has potential to be onerous however but will continue.

Brief discussion around Forum 5. JM to contact CC Enquires as to the future of this.

5. Chair report

No report in Stewarts absence.

6. Secretary’s Report

 

Jen noting that all emails of note have been circulated to members.

 

Membership update – JM updated on current situation with regard to co-opted members and what steps are required to progress to allow further co-opting to take place. JM to request that Gordon contacts bank re signatories in advance of a change.

7. Councillor’s Report

 

No Councillor present.

Nothing further at the moment on Falleninch.

10. KPCC Communications

 

Nothing to report.
