Stirling Council has 23 Elected Members, elected at the Local Government Elections in May 2017 and each representing one of seven multi-member electoral wards. Six wards have 3 Councillors; Ward 3 has 4.
The Council membership comprises 8 SNP, 8 Conservative, 4 Labour, 2 Independent and 1 Green representative. The Administration is an SNP/Labour partnership, with Councillor Scott Farmer (SNP) as Council Leader and Councillor Danny Gibson (Labour) as Depute Leader.
Each Councillor is required to register their interests and to disclose those interests prior to considering Council business or immediately they become aware of any potential conflict of interest. Details of each Councillors’ register and their declarations of their interests may be viewed on their individual profile pages. Councillors are reminded regularly to review and update their register if appropriate. It is the responsibility of each Councillor to notifiy changes to their registered within one month of the change occurring.

Councillors expenses
Every year an Annual Statement of Members' Allowances & Expenses is published by the Council. The statement outlines the salary, allowances and expenses paid to each Councillor and expenses met directly by the Council during the previous financial year.
What Councillors do
Councillors represent the public interest as well as individuals living within their ward. Stirling Council is responsible for providing and managing the day to day services. Your Councillors will agree on policies for providing these services.
The Councillors attend committee meetings, support local organisations and campaigns, they also hold regular surgeries where they meet local residents to discuss concerns.
