The easiest way to pay your Council Tax is by Direct Debit. Once you set up a Direct Debit you can still change to another payment method. If Direct Debits don't suit you, there are other ways to pay.

Set up a Direct Debit

You can pay:

  • weekly
  • fortnightly
  • in 10 monthly instalments
  • in 12 monthly instalments
  • in 13, 4-weekly instalments

Pay online

Pay a Council Tax bill online using your card.

Pay by bank transfer

Make a payment via online banking:

You'll need your:

  • debit or credit card details
  • payment reference number – the 9 character reference on your bill

Pay in person

You can pay at our Customer First office in Stirling. If we've supplied you with a payment card you can also pay at your local Post Office or shops that display the PayPoint sign.

Pay by post

You can pay by post with a cheque or postal order. Make it payable to Stirling Council and write your name, address and payment reference number – the 9 character reference on your bill – on the back.
