Every three years community planning partners in Stirling work together with children, young people and their families to develop a plan regarding how they will work together to Get it Right for Every Child.
The Plan is for all children and young people aged from 0-18 years old, or up to 26 years old for young people who have experienced care
Stirling Council and NHS Forth Valley are jointly responsible for developing and delivering the plan, supported by other community planning partners.
Stirling's Children's Services Plan 2023–26
Over 3000 voices have supported the development of the current Children’s Services Plan and its underlying action plans. Contained within the plan are six priority areas where we believe that our collective efforts as community planning partners, working with children, young people and their families, can add most value in improving outcomes, but particularly in tackling disadvantage and inequalities. The outcomes and actions for these areas build on the successful partnership work undertaken within our last two plans.
The priorities are:
- improving children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing
- tackling child poverty
- enhancing whole family support
- improving outcomes for children and young people with care experience
- improving outcomes for children and young people with disabilities
- improving support for children and young people in need of protection
The Stirling Strategic Planning Group for Children will be responsible for delivery of outcomes and improvement priorities in the Children’s Services Plan
The group is also responsible for the Local Child Poverty Action Report and Action Plan
