The nursery earned a grading of ‘4’ (Good) for both its quality of care and support and quality of staffing following an unannounced inspection.
In their report, inspectors stated that children were motivated, engaged had fun and were challenged by their play experiences.
The National Regular added that children at the nursery felt safe, secure, respected and loved by kind and compassionate staff, creating the conditions for children to flourish.
Extremely positive
Fiona Keating, Principal Early Childhood Educator at the nursery said: “We are delighted that the Care Inspectorate has noticed what we do well, particularly around the loving, nurturing relationships in a calm environment and appreciate their comments on how we can continually improve our service.
“Our feedback was extremely positive, particularly during what has been an immensely challenging two years during the pandemic for children, families and staff.
“As a nursery, we value our relationships with our families and partners. We have really missed not having our families inside the nursery and we are beginning to rebuild these strong relationships as we come out of the pandemic to continue with our high quality provision.”
Most families who provided feedback to inspectors were happy with their children’s experience in the nursery, which provides care for up to 24 pre-school children.

Convener of Stirling Council’s Children and Young People Committee, Cllr Danny Gibson said: “This impressive report demonstrates Borestone Nursery is doing a lot of things really well to support children reaching their potential.
