The Stirling nursery received a grading of ‘5’ (Very Good) in all four core evaluations of its service - setting, leadership, play and learning, staff team and care.
It followed a recent unannounced inspection at the nursery – which provides care for up to 32 children aged 3 to 5 - by the National Regulator.
Aspects of the service that were highlighted for praise by the Inspectorate were:
- Staff contributed to children feeling happy, safe, and secure with calm, warm and positive interactions
- Staff were fun, responsive, and friendly in their approach towards children's requests and needs, resulting in children that thrived and flourished
- Children benefitted from a wealth of loose parts, natural and real-life experiences in both their indoor and outdoor environments
- The leadership team embedded a strong sense of commitment to continuous improvement and staff morale was high
Elaine Peddle, Principal Early Childhood Educator at Arnprior Nursery said: “Our team are delighted to have received such a positive report from our recent Care Inspectorate visit.
“We were particularly pleased the Care Inspectorate highlighted the calm, warm, and positive interactions by staff, which contributes to children feeling happy, safe and secure.
“The report also referenced the beautiful environment in and around the nursery, which provides our children with opportunities to explore creatively through play and curiosity.
“I’d like to thank our staff, parents and children for making Arnprior Nursery such a happy place to work, play and learn.”
