As a mark of respect, the Union flag will be flown at half-mast at Stirling Council headquarters and other civic buildings.
Provost Dodds said: “I am saddened to receive the news of Her Majesty the Queen’s death. On behalf of the people of Stirling I would like to extend my condolences to the members of the Royal Family and everyone who has been affected at this time of great sorrow.”
An online Book of Condolence is available on the Council website now.
Books of Condolence will also be opened tomorrow at Old Viewforth, Customer First and the Albert Halls from 10am.
If members of the public wish to lay flowers in commemoration, an area has been set aside at Stirling Council headquarters, Old Viewforth, situated close to the flag pole within the grounds.
Areas have also been set aside at the War Memorial at Corn Exchange Road as well as Ancaster Square in Callander.
All Council and Civic events and engagements are being reviewed and may be cancelled as a mark of respect. Arrangements will be confirmed in due course.
