A wide range of activities across a number of venues kicks off on World Book Day, Thursday 2 March until Saturday 4 March with something suitable for all ages and tastes.

Appearances from much-loved children’s author Vivian French and comic strip creator, John Fardell, are among the highlights of the programme along with a big book quiz at Central Library where participants can dress up as their favourite book character.

Kate Hudson, Head of People and Community Wellbeing at Stirling Council said: “With another exciting and diverse programme of events, this year’s smallprint festival is shaping up to be as good as it’s ever been.

“This festival is full of free, fun, engaging events, and the feedback from children, parents and participating authors at past events has been incredibly positive.

“Smallprint remains a highly popular fixture in our events calendar and our Library Service has delivered a real page turner of a festival.

“We look forward to welcoming more children and families along to our libraries to instil a love of books and reading.”

Full programme information and details on how to book tickets to events are available at the Libraries’ What’s On page on the council website. Tickets can also be reserved through individual libraries.
