Stirling Provost Douglas Dodds resigns as a Councillor

Stirling Council can confirm that Provost Douglas Dodds has resigned as a Councillor.

From being elected in 2017, Cllr Dodds worked to represent the interests of his constituents in the Dunblane and Bridge of Allan ward.

Following his re-election in May 2022, he was appointed to the role of Provost, and represented and promoted Stirling and its communities. The Council thanks him for his service.

The election of a Provost is a matter for Council and will be considered at the next Council meeting on 7 December 2023.
