Stirling’s festive programme set to be unveiled

Stirling’s Christmas lights switch on will be among a bumper programme of events taking place across the area over the festive period.

Details and timings for this popular family-friendly occasion, together with all the Christmas markets, ceilidhs, concerts and other festive events being staged in the area, will be announced shortly. So please stay tuned to our social channels over the coming weeks.

This year, however, the Hogmanay fireworks display at the National Wallace Monument will not take place. This decision has taken place due to the unprecedented financial challenge facing the Council, a situation mirrored at local authorities across Scotland.

Stirling Council Leader, Cllr Chris Kane said: “The festive period is a special time for families and communities across Stirling, and we are look forward to welcoming visitors to our beautiful city and the surrounding area as the build up to Christmas gets into full swing.

“There will be a bumper programme of diverse events across Stirling and something for everyone to enjoy, with a wide range of concerts, markets, food and drink festivities and family entertainment. We will be sharing more details of these events shortly.”
