Free bus travel for over 60s

A National Entitlement Card (Saltire card) provides free, Scotland-wide, bus travel for people who are disabled and those over age 60. It also provides discounted train travel across Scotland for people who are visually impaired.

Apply online

You can apply for a new or replacement National Entitlement Card online. You can also update your photograph or record a change of address.

Selecting the link will take you to the National Entitlement Card website. You'll be guided through the online application and asked to provide proof of your identity and eligibility.

Apply by post

To begin, you'll need to download and complete an application form.

Then you can send it to us along with your proof of eligibility documents and photograph. You can email your application to tcc@stirling.gov.uk or send it by post to:

You'll need

  • a recent passport style photograph
  • proof of age, such as a birth certificate, driving licence or passport
  • proof of address, such as a utility or council tax bill, or a bank statement
  • proof of your eligibility on grounds other than age
