A traffic regulation order is a legal restriction on what road-users can do when they use a specific road or roads. It might mean that there’s a limit on:
- how fast vehicles can travel
- how much vehicles can weigh
- where vehicles can park
- the movements of any abnormal loads
Stirling Council uses traffic regulation orders to:
- keep the road network safe for all people who use it
- prevent damage to bridges and roads
