Stirling Council schools' concerts

Stirling Council Youth Orchestra, Choir and Guitar Ensemble – High school pupils only, Orchestra approximately Grade 3 standard or above.

There will be a separate form at a later date for Wind Band, String Orchestra and Pipe Band performers to register

Overview

Following a successful year of Extra-curricular events, the next event will be the Stirling Council Schools' Concert at the Albert Halls on Wednesday 2 October 2024 and Balfron High School on Thursday 3 of October 2024.  This is open to high school pupils only and the Youth Orchestra standard is approximately grade 3 level.

In preparation for these concerts, we will be holding a weekend of rehearsals for Youth Orchestra, Choir and Guitar Ensemble at Stirling High. 

These rehearsals will be:

• Friday 30 August(4:30pm – 9pm)
• Saturday 31 August (10am – 4pm)
• Sunday 1 September (10am - 4pm)

Please note there is no transport provided for the weekend rehearsals.

Following the weekend rehearsals, we will have 4 weekly rehearsals for the same groups at Stirling High School on Monday evenings between 4:45pm – 6:45pm.  Transport will be provided to Stirling High from your child’s high school on these Monday Nights but pupils must make their own transport arrangements to return home after the rehearsals.

Our first Monday rehearsal will be Monday 9 September and our last will be Monday 30 September.
