The Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social care Partnership developed its Strategic Plan in 2015.
One of the priorities described within the plan is the development and delivery of the Stirling Health and Care Village which will provide a campus of services aimed at bringing together a range of health and social care services onto one site to improve integrated and collaborative working.
It is situated on the former Stirling Community Hospital site and provides a wide range of local health services. Services include GP and Minor Injuries, outpatient clinics and the Bellfield Centre.
The Bellfield Centre will deliver integrated intermediate health and social care services mainly for older people. This will include combined services for older people who require additional short-term health care, an assessment or rehabilitation following an illness, an operation, or an acute hospital admission. The Bellfield Centre will also provide specialist support for people with dementia and those who require palliative and end of life care. Services will be delivered in a modern purpose built, homely facility with 116 short stay care rooms.
