Request an appointment to register a marriage

Before you begin

These are the documents you'll need:

• birth certificates for both parties
• the completed marriage notice form (M10) and the fee
• a celebrant and witness details form

Depending on your circumstances, you may have to submit additional documents. These are indicated in the marriage notice form.

If either party is subject to immigration controls, you'll also need:

• a declaration of status by non-UK nationals form
• evidence to support the statement you make on the declaration of status form

If you're not a UK citizen you should submit your forms as soon as you can to allow time for any extra documents that are needed.

All documents must be originals. We cannot accept photocopies.
