Pupils from all seven of Stirling’s high schools will perform as a choir, guitar ensemble and youth orchestra, while additional pupils will perform as a wind band and string orchestra.

Among the performers will be Dunblane High School’s Juliet Robertson, who won the inaugural Scottish Young Musicians solo performer of the year award earlier this year.

The concerts will take place at the Albert Halls (1 Dec - 7.30pm) and Balfron High School (2 Dec - 7.30pm). Tickets remain available and can be purchased from either visiting the Albert Halls box office or calling 01786 473 544.

The Stirling and District Pipe Band will take part in the performance at the Albert Halls Concert with the Balfron and McLaren Pipe Band joining the concert at Balfron High School.

Children and Young People Convener, Cllr Danny Gibson said: “I’m thrilled to see the return of the annual schools concerts following the disruption of the last few years. The young people involved have been rehearsing for weeks and it will be wonderful for them to be able to perform in front of their families and friends.

“The level of talent among our young musicians is truly something to behold and the annual concerts are always a fantastic event. I hope everybody involved does themselves proud and that all attendees enjoy the performance.”

Tickets are available for £6 each or £4 for concessions.
