Health and Safety Notice
Stirling Council takes the health and safety of its staff very seriously and for this reason, the pest control service will no longer carry out any working at height. This involves using ladders or steps to access loft areas or roof spaces and any exterior works requiring the use of ladders or steps.
We apologise for any difficulties that this may cause and would advise customers to contact an alternative pest control contractor who may be able to provide this service.
If you experience any issues with this form please let us know.
Service We Provide
We are currently only able to investigate and treat rodent (rats/mice) issues at a domestic property. The following services are currently suspended until further notice: Wasps, Ants, Bedbugs Fleas and Cockroaches, Flies and Bluebottles and Beetles. To request a Pest Control Service complete the on-line form.
We provide a service for common pests (rats, mice) during normal office hours.
Target response times are as follows:
- High priority (mice, rats, trapped animals) - 2 working days
- Low priority (all other pest complaints) - 5 working days
We are unable to investigate or treat Wasps, Ants, Bedbugs Fleas and Cockroaches, Flies and Bluebottles and Beetles at the moment. We apologise for any difficulties that this may cause and would advise customers to contact an alternative pest control contractor who may be able to provide this service. When choosing a trader, always get at least three quotes and compare prices; check credentials; ask for references and speak to previous customers; find out how long they have been in business and ensure you get contact details including an office address and landline phone number.
We DO NOT treat bats, if you need advice please contact Scottish Natural Heritage
We are unable to help with any issues that may occur due to gulls, commonly known as seagulls. We recognise that this can be a problem for a lot of our communities, especially in the summer when they are nesting. The RSPB provides general advice about gulls.
Report a Dead Animal
On occasion, animals are hit by vehicles and left on or at the side of the road. If you think the animal is causing a hazard, you can report it to us. The Council will remove dead animals from public roads (excluding motorways) and footpaths.
- If the animal is on private land, this would be considered the land owner's responsibility.
- If the animal is in water, please contact SEPA who will be able to provide guidance.
If you would like to report abandoned or injured animals please call the SSPCA on 0870 737 7722.
