The Scottish Government published details of Scottish Child Payment Bridging Payments on 30 August 2021.
We will pay £130 for the Easter holiday to each P1 – S6 pupil who are entitled to Free School Meals due to their parent/guardian being in receipt of low income or a qualifying benefit.
The payment can be used by families for any purpose as they see fit. There is no expectation that these payments are to be used for any specific purpose.
In addition to this the Council will pay £2.40 per child, per week day, to families during the holidays, this covers the period Monday 4 April 2022 to 18 April 2022, so will be an additional £26.40.
Stirling Council has also agreed to top this payment up from Council budget by £20 per week per child, as the Easter holidays is for two weeks you will receive an additional £40 per child.
No action is required for those already registered for free school meals.
Those who are not registered for free school meals but are now eligible should fill out a form on the Stirling Council website.

If you received a payment for the Footwear & Clothing Grant/School Meals grant and your bank details have changed, please contact our Revenue and Benefits team on 01786 233210 to update your bank details immediately for future payments. If your bank details are the same, you do not need to take any further action.
A total payment of £196.40 will be paid for each eligible child and will be in your account no later than Monday 4 April 2022.”
